The German Government is one of the world’s biggest investors in research and development. They fund and support a wide variety of universities.
Germany has 13 years of basic education different from the 12 years basic education in India, so students are required to complete a pre-bachelor program before getting into the actual course to make the curiculam equivalent.

THE AZUBI PROGRAM-

‘Azubi’ is a vocational training program, just as it’s name suggests ‘Azubi’ means ‘trainee’. The student gets trained in their course and is also working at this time. He/she receives a stipend every month for these three years of course.
The student goes along with a job contract stating 100% placement surety in the industry while studying.

The courses available in Azubi are;

  • Roof Mechanics
  • Hotel & Gastronomy
  • Chef
  • Nursing

Course details:

The student is required to bring B1 level German from their home country.

The student then joins for the 6-months adaptation program in IAS College, where he/she is taught B2 German language, course related technical terms and given practical sessions of 3-6 weeks.

After the 6-months adaptation program, the student enrolls into the 3-year vocational training period at a tied up industry related to their chosen course. He/She also gets paid a stipend every month (800 euros ) while working and studying.

The student can also work part-time for 10 hours per week, being an addition to their savings.
He/she receives all Government services even before attaining PR like Social security benefits, PF, Children’s expenses (200 euros per month), Health-care, Pension etc.

After the 3-year training period, the student can directly get into a job with a minimum of 2000 euros as salary per month. And with a work experience of 5 years, he/she can apply for Permanent residency and become a German citizen.  

Expenses:

Course fees- 5000 euros (Only for the adaptation program, and no tuition fees for vocational training period).
Living expenses- 5118 euros (to be shown in blocked account).
